Hello everybody!
I’m super excited about my first blog post for 2021!!! And the first project I’m sharing with the lovely Artisan watermark. Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope that you had a lovely time seeing in the new year.
I thought it would be great to start the year with a scrapbook page. In 2020 I started to scrapbook more and in 2021 I hope to do even more! This page was created using the upcoming new products from the Sand & Sea Suite. I was honoured to have presented this suite at OnStage@Home in 2020 (OnStage is a Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator event). When I saw the Designer Series Paper in this suite I knew it would be beautiful for scrapbooking.

This was so much fun to create. For the background I chose the wave looking DSP sheet from the Sand & Sea DSP. The sand area is the stunning Pearlescent Specialty Paper. I created the sandy edge by ripping the Pearlescent Specialty Paper. On the piece that is in the middle I stamped some of the dots from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Sahara Sand.
For the seashell details, I first stamped them on the Pearlescent Specialty Paper – this paper is super shiny and the ink takes some time to set. I used the Heat Tool to help the ink to dry but then also let it sit to dry. On one of the shells I stamped the sentiment “Love You To The Beach & Back”. I’m going to add photos of my kids to this page and I thought this is a perfect sentiment for that.
Once the ink has set on the pearlescent paper I die cut out the shapes and then the larger ones I lined up into the coordinating Seashells 3D Embossing Folder to add some texture.
For the title of the scrapbook page I used the wonderful Playful Alphabet Dies. I added these to the page using Foam Adhesive Sheets. TIP: Die cut the letters first from the Pearlescent Specialty Paper then the Foam Adhesive but keep the letters in the full sheet. Then peel back the top release paper while the letters are still in the full sheet and add the paper die cuts. This lines them up perfectly and you can then use the left over Adhesive Sheet for solid blocks since no paper has been added.
Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope that I’ve inspired you to be creative.
Bye for now!
