Sugar & Spice

Sugar & Spice

For the last few years I’ve made Christmas sugar cookies to give as gifts to teachers and my husband’s co-workers. Last year I loved the new Mini Pizza Boxes as they’re perfect for cookies. I’m planning to make more again this year and mixing up how they will look with this adorable Baking Santa stamp from the new So Santa stamp set in the 2018 Holiday catalogue!

To create this cookie box:

  1. Using Layering Circles Framelits cut a hole in the top of the Mini Pizza box. Using a Stampin’ Sponge wedge and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Pad and in circular motions colour the Mini Pizza box using the sponge dipped in Pumpkin Pie.
  2. Adhere a piece of Window Sheet to the inside of the box to cover the hole.
  3. Stamp the sentiment “Sugar and spice make Christmas nice!” from the So Santa stamp set onto the front of the Mini Pizza box in Pumpkin pie.
  4. On a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock stamp in Memento ink the Santa with cookies from the So Santa stamp set. Colour with Stampin’ Blends markers. Fussy cut out using Paper Snips. Attach to lid of Mini Pizza Box
  5. Add cookies inside and tie Real Red Ribbon around the box to finish.

Hi Marty! Thanks for visiting my blog. I used Paper Snips and fussy cut this one out. No Scan and Cut in my craft room. The tip is to take your time, move the paper not the scissors and to open the scissors wide so you can do long cuts.
