Last week I blogged about a Baby Shower card I created for a friend. Today I would like to show you the small gift that I gave with that card. As we don’t know the gender I used a combination of natural colours (Gold and Daffodil Delight) and boy/girl colours of Bermuda Bay and Berry Burst. I wanted to stay away from traditional light blue and pinks for this one just to be different.

All supplies used in this project are shown at the end of this post in the thumbnails. These are linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store.

To create this gift:
- Take the “It’s A Boy!” and “It’s A Girl!” stamps from the Sweet Baby stamp set and stamp and stamp the write stripes on the Striped Treat Bags. I used Bermuda Bay ink for “It’s A Boy!” and Berry Burst for “It’s A Girl!”
- On some Whisper White thick cardstock stamp the baby image from the same stamp set in Memento Ink. Colour with Stampin’ Blends. TIP: to make the face lighter, first colour using the Ivory and Bronze (in shadows) and then lighten with the Color Lifter. Add rosie cheeks with the Calypso Coral Light Stampin’ Blend.
- Take a 2″ strip of Whisper White Thick cardstock and create a banner look using the Triple Banner Punch. Then stamp the Cute and cuddly sentiment in Daffodil Delight.
- Using the lace die from the Bouncing Baby Framelits and cut two. Colour using a Sponge Dauber and adhere to the back of the banner.
- Die cut out the baby and adhere to the banner.
- Add your treat to the gift bag (mine had Lint chocolates) and then fold over the top. Clip on the banner to the Striped Treat Bag with a Gold Library Clip. Tie some ribbon to the clip to finish off.

I’m so delighted with how this little gift turned out! I really love the sentiment that I used on the banner. Babies are just so sweet!

I have to say, even if I say so myself, that Bermuda Bay and Berry Burst are working well as an alternative to the usual soft blues and pinks for baby shower gifts. What do you think?
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I hope today’s project has inspired you to get creative and try something new.
Until next time,
Tatiana
