The kids have been on school holidays for a week now and I’m loving not having to be somewhere everyday and just be free to plan our days as we want it has also meant that I’m not crafting as much as I’d like. I did have this project to share with you using this week’s product of the week the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I’m on a bit of a roll with the Bird Ballad Suit so I thought I’d continue it.
This dies are just fantastic. They are part of the Bird Ballad Suit but you can use the on any project really. I love that when you cut out the label you have stitching on the label as well as around the “hole” that is left behind. This mean you can really use both pieces! Today’s card I’ve only used the label pieces, and I just love layering them:

Tips to make this card:
- Use Clear Embossing Powder on Watercolor Paper so that it matches in colour.
- Use a drop of ink from the Ink Refills to watercolour with.
- To make the colour bleed, first spritz the Watercolor Paper with water, then pick up colour with your Aqua Painter and dab it on. The water will spread the colour.
- Stamping the leaves onto the Melon Mambo card stock with Melon Mambo ink pad this a beautiful subtle effect on the background.
- Heat Embossing the sentiment in white on top really makes it pop.
- Adhere the Bird Ballad Trinkets using glue dots.
- To create the same stamping on both corners of the card front use the Stamparatus. Stamp one corner then turn the card stock 180 degrees and stamp again.
I repeated the same stamping on the envelope as the card front but in the Melon Mambo ink.
