Happy New Year everyone. I took some time off over the Christmas and New Year period to spend with my family. I simply cannot believe that 2017 is over! Where did that go?
The brand new Occasions Catalogue goes on sale today and there are so many wonderful products in this one. You will be able to shop from this catalogue from today (3rd January 2018) to 31st May 2018. When I got my copy of the Occasions Catalogue in November 2017 at OnStage I was just so excited and couldn’t wait to get my hands on a lot of the products. As a demonstrator I’ve been able to pre-order and I have had so much fun playing around. The colours in this catalogue really attract me and I really don’t know where to start in sharing with you!

Lots of Happy Card Kit
This kit is one of my favourites from the catalogue. If you are new to card making or would like a really a quick, easy, but gorgeous project then look no further. The kit comes with everything you need to create 20 cards (four each of five designs). You just need to add your favourite adhesive. The kit includes a stamp set, clear block, Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Spot, four Watercolor Pencils (two in new colours), Ombre Ribbon, and Stampin’ Dimensionals. You can also explore different looks by using the Watercolor Pencils that can be purchase separately or even with the new Stampin’ Blends!
I had so much fun playing around with the Watercolor Pencils and Stampin’ Blends to create the following cards:
The above cards are the same card twice but with one I used the provided watercolour pencils (the Here for You one) and the other I used the Stampin’ Blends markers (Happiest Birthday one). Both have given a beautiful card and I to add more interest I have added some stamping in on the card using the floral image that comes with the kit. I think that this really give the cards a bit more texture and variety.
I can’t work out which one I like better – the Happiest Birthday was using watercolor pencils and the Here for You was coloured with Stampin’ Blends. Both have turned out so beautifully. I’ve got one more I must show:
This one is a cute small card which you colour two layers of flowers and then mount on top of each other to create this lovely full bunch of flowers. Isn’t is just adorable?!?! I hope that you have enjoyed looking at these cards. The kit also has a refill, so that when you finish making your 20 beautiful cards you can purchase the refill for the cards and no double ups on stamp sets!
