Green & Copper Christmas

Green & Copper Christmas

Hello Stamping Friends!
Today’s project is the last for this week and I wanted to use a colour combination that is different to that what I’ve used all week. Recently I’ve had a team member advance to Bronze Elite so that has got me thinking about copper. It’s not a colour I am immediately drawn to but it has started to grow on me. I decided to combine is with stunning Shaded Spruce:

Details about this card:

  • Card Base: Shaded Spruce
  • Sentiment Label: Gold Glimmer Paper cut with the scalloped die and Whisper White cut with the circle just smaller than the scalloped glimmer paper. TIP: cut a another circle that is smaller from the glimmer paper so that you are not wasting the glimmer paper that is going to be covered by the whisper white circle. Stamp sentiment in Versamark and heat emboss in copper.
  • TIP: cover the top half of the yuletide sentiment with wash tap to only get the “Yuletide Cheer” part.
  • Stamp and heat emboss in coper the branches on Copper Foil Sheets. Fussy cut these out. Add some Shimmery Crystal Effects (idea from demonstrator Connie Rae). TIP: when fussy cutting, move the paper not the scissors.
  • Die cut Shaded Spruce card stock using the elements from the Frosted Frames Dies.
  • Adhere the die cut pieces by using the sponging glue method: put some Multipurpose Liquid Glue onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, then using a wedge of Stamping Sponge damp clue on the back of the die cut. This gives you an even layer of glue of the piece and allows for the edges to be glued down.
  • Have some of the die cut pieces go over the edge and then trim them.
