Happy Queen’s birthday long weekend Monday! Here in NSW we have a public holiday even though technically the Queen’s birthday isn’t today. I’m not complaining. Today I’m introducing you to my product of the week – the Daisy Lane Bundle. This is a new daisy stamp from Stampin’ Up!® which I was lucky to get at OnStage in April.

As you can see the fun stamp set has a coordinating punch the Medium Daisy punch. The Daisy punch also works with this set. Since the medium punch wasn’t available for anyone to order before the catalogue was released last week today’s card uses the Daisy punch (which is larger). Let’s take a look at the cards:

The cards where created half the size of a regular card. I used a quarter of an A4 sheet for the card base.

Tips for creating this card:
- Get the variation in colour in the leaves by stamping it multiple times without re inking each time.
- To create a gerbera instead of a daisy stamp and punch three layers for each flower.
- Align the three layers of petals of that all three layers are visible.
- Add a Gold Faceted Gem to the centres for some extra sparkle to your card.
This is a special long weekend for me – 13 years ago this weekend my husband got down on one knee and asked the big question. Then five years later (or eight years ago) our son was born this weekend. Lots of special memories. One of my favourite memories from when hubby and I were dating was him taking me to a flower shop and buying me flowers to cheer me up after a crappy day. I chose three Gerberas because they make me smile. I call them happy flowers. I thought “Smile” was the perfect sentiment for the card because of this. So today’s blog post is in memory of that day. (Okay I know I’m very nostalgic, and corny. But that’s just me).

I sent out this little card with my Annual catalogues this year, and I’m really excited to announce that I have a Class using the Daisy Lane Bundle. This month I’m running the class both in person and online so there is an option where ever you live! I’ll be sharing all the details of the class in the next day or two.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I hope today’s project has inspired you to get creative and try something new.
Until next time,
Tatiana
