My son’s soccer season recently finished and we had some gifts to give. And what is a gift without a card? Of course I volunteered to made the cards. This card was for the team managers – I know sounds funny for a team of 8 year olds! We had a particular family in the team make sure everyone was organised, understood where we were playing and who was on oranges that week. So much effort was put into keeping us all up to date. Here is the card I made for them:

The card design was inspired by the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue sample on page 59. The colours were inspired by the gift we gave them:
How awesome is that gift? It was organised by one of the other mum’s in the team. I made sure the card matched in colours by using Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White and Copper Stampin’ Embossing Powder. I love to coordinate the gift and the card!
Details of this card:
- Card Base: Crumb Cake, stamped with Crumb Cake ink.
- Card Front: Basic Black (105mm wide, cut on an angle, and then added stitched detailing to the diagonal cut using a die from the Stitched Labels Dies. Plus a Whisper White stitched circle.
- Soccer Balls: Stamp in Versamark on Whisper White card stock the soccer balls, heat embossing in Copper. Punch out using the 1″ Circle Punch.
- Sentiment: the “GO” was Black heat embossed onto the Whisper White stitched circle and the “TEAM” was White heat embossed onto Basic Black card stock then fussy cut out.
- I used a toothpick for the flag.
I decorated the envelope by stamping soccer balls in Crumb Cake. On the inside of the card, I heat embossed the soccer ball in Copper.
