Father’s Day Cards

Father’s Day is on Sunday and I’ve made a few cards for this special day. I’m so blessed to have a wonderful Dad, Father-In-Law and Father of my children. These cards are for them:

All supplies used in these cards are shown at the end of this post in the thumbnails. These are linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store.

Let’s take a closer look at each one:

To create this card:

1. Prepare card base in Crumb Cake.
2. Prepare card front:
   1. In Blueberry Bushel 143.5mm x 100mm
   2. In Crumb Cake 133.5mm x 90mm
   3. In Blueberry Bushel 115mm x 70mm
3. Take the Crumb Cake card front and die cut letters D A D using the Large Letter Framelits. Make sure you save the inside cut outs and put the actual letters to the side for another project.
4. Run the small piece of Blueberry Bushel through the Big Shot in the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder.
5. To Assemble the card:
   1. Adhere the Blueberry Bushel card front to the card base.
   2. Adhere the Pinewood textured Blueberry Bushel to the card front so that it will sit behind the cut out letters.
   3. Place the Crumb Cake card front on top (do not adhere) and using the letters line up the inside cutouts and adhere them to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
   4. Now adhere the Crumb Cake card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals (TIP: since this is a big panel, I recommend using the edge strips of the Dimensionals. This means you don’t throw them out and they cover a bigger area more easily).

This card does use the Sale-A-Bration Bubble & Fizz Designer Series Paper. You can use any DSP or plain card stock for this. To create this card:

1. Prepare card base in Bermuda Bay
2. Prepare card front to be 100mm x 143.5mm
3. Die cut using the Big Shot the following:
   1. Two large bottles in Whisper White (Bottles & Bubbles Framelits)
   2. Two large bottle caps in Silver Foil (Bottles & Bubbles Framelits)
   3. Two large bottle labels in Costal Cabana (Bottles & Bubbles Framelits)
   4. One small label from the Stitched Seasons Framelits
   5. One medium label with the small label cut inside it from the Stitched Seasons Framelits
4. On one of the large bottle labels stamp “Happy” from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set three times in Versamark and heat emboss in white.
5. On the other large bottle label stamp “Father’s Day” from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set in Versamark and heat emboss in white (TIP: the sentiment doesn’t fit all the way across so just stamp the Father’s first and then the Day underneath).
6. To assemble:
   1. Adhere the card front to the card base.
   2. Link the two stitched labels into each other and adhere to the card front.
   3. Adhere the bottle caps and labels to the bottles and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add them to the card.

This final card, my kids and I created together. It was their idea to have Love You on the front. I thought this was just a cute idea!!! I had them pick the colours. We added two love hearts, our son picked the Cherry Cobbler and my daughter picked Lovely Lipstick, these represent them on the card! To create this card:

1. Prepare card base in Whisper White Thick.
2. Die cut using the Big Shot:
   1. The letters of LOVE using Large Letters Framelits.
   2. The YOU from Celebrate You Thinlits
   3. Two hearts from Stitched Labels Framelits
3. Run the You and letter through the Big Shot in the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
4. Adhere the letters and word to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhere the hearts using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
