Demonstrator Training April 2021 Blog Hop

Blog Hop

Hello everybody!
Welcome to my blog! Today I’m blog hopping with really lovely demonstrators and together (with others) we are a part of Bruno & Kylie’s Training Program. I love how I’ve connected with so many demonstrators all around the world through this training program over the years. This year the theme of our blog hop is Customer Appreciation cards. Every month I sent my customers a card to show them that I appreciate their support in my adventure. This is the card I created for customers who ordered through me in March 2021:

[Want to recreate this project? You’ll find all the supplies I used at the end of this post, conveniently linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store. I’d love to be your demonstrator and appreciate your support—it means the world to me on this creative journey!]

I’m really loving the Suite Sampler Stamp Set. It has an image representing all the different suite in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalogue. It’s a great way to get it all with our getting it all. You can earn this stamp set for FREE when you host a Stampin’ Up!® event or place an order of $250 or more. Please feel free to contact me if you’d like to find out more.

Card Details:

  • Card Base: Seaside Spray
  • Card Front: Hydrangea Hill DSP (10 x 10 cm and 10cm x 5 cm) plus a piece of Basic White (10 x 14.8 cm)
  • Sentiment Label: Basic White using Tasteful Labels Dies
  • Card Insert: Basic White (10 x 14.8 cm) and Hydrangea Hill DSP (10 x 2.5 cm)
  • Stamp the hydrangea image from the Suite Sampler stamp set in Memento ink on Basic White cardstock. Colour by using Sponge Daubers. I tapped mine onto the stamped image. For the flowers I used Highland Heather and a bit of Seaside Spray. For the leaves and stem Just Jade. Fussy cut out.
  • Adhere the larger DSP piece to the top of the Basic White card front. Then adhere the smaller piece to the bottom. You’ll find the two pieces overlap slightly.
    • I wanted to adhere the DSP to this instead of directly onto the card base so that I can tie a ribbon around the front but not waste ribbon by having only folded edges on either side (ie there’s isn’t a ribbon strip on the full length of the back).
  • Tie some ribbon over the join of the two DSP pieces. I like to add some Stampin’ Seal+ to the back edge to hold in place the folded part of the ribbon. Tie a bow on the right hand side. Adhere this panel to the card base.
  • Take the sentiment label and stamp a sentiment from a stamp set of your choice. I used “Happy Birthday” from Peaceful Moments. I stamped it in Memento Ink. To add some interest, stamp the hydrangea image in second generation Highland Heather so that it will show up behind the fussy cut hydrangea.
  • Add the sentiment label over the ribbon and then the fussy cut on top of it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Finish with some Pastel Pearls.

I like to say no card is complete till you decorate the inside and the envelope. For this card I used a strip of DSP on the bottom of the card insert. On the envelope I stamped the hydrangea image in Highland Heather:

I also send a small gift to customers who order is $50 or more. In March the gift was Pastel Pearls. It’s fun to decorate the gift to coordinate with the card:
