Delightful Shaker Card

I’m a little bit obsessed with shaker cards at the moment. Since making my first one my brain is often thinking how to make another one. Inspiration hit me with this one when I took a look at the new Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper by Stampin’ Up!®. This paper is just gorgeous! I love that its Very Vanilla on one side and Whisper White on the other. I has lots of different designs and so many possibilities. I am in love with how I created this card using the cogs design as I call it.

To create this card:

1. Trim the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper (the paper comes as a 12″x12″ sheet and you need to separate the panels.
2. Cut a piece of Window Sheet and Shimmery White to be 127 mm x 89 mm.
3. Using SNAIL adhesive on the border edge of the Delightfully Details Laser-Cut Specialty Paper attach the Window Sheet to the back. This creates a card window.
4. Using a Sponge Dauber start to colour the piece of Shimmery White card stock. For mine I worked out where the centres of the circular cogs are and used Lovely Lipstick to colour those areas and then blended it out with Calypso Coral.
5. To add some interested to the background, spritz into the palm of your hand and drip some what on top. The longer you leave the water the more “bleached” that area will become. To remove water simply put some paper towel on top.
6. Turn over the card window and place some Foam Adhesive Strips along all four edges.
7. Add some Iridescent Sequin Assortment then remove the backing from the foam strips and attach the background (making sure it goes face down).
8. Attach to the front of a notecard using SNAIL adhesive.

I’m positive that this card would delight anyone. Best part is  you can customise to any colour combination you want!
