Hello Friends!
When creating a project that requires colouring sometimes it’s hard to think of a colour combination. This is a great time to turn to InColors – they’re a collection of five colours that work really well together. Today’s project I used three of the 2019-2021 InColors: Rococo Rose, Purple Posy and Pretty Peacock.

The layout for this card was inspired by one of the Lots of Happy Card Kit (the one in the top right corner in the picture below):

To create this card I stamped in Stazon Ink one of the floral images and the leaves from the Bloom & Grow stamp set onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I then water coloured them in, die cut them out and cut the floral image in half. By cutting it in half I can “stretch” the image of sit behind the layering circle dies I’ve cut.

The 2019-2020 In Colors 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper is perfect for coordinating colours and adding some extra colour to the card. Using the Woven Thread Sequin (selecting the Pretty Peacock ones) really ties the colours together well. I also used the Sprig Punch and Vellum to add a bit more fullness to the floral design without overwhelming since Vellum is very subtle.

I used Shimmery White card stock for the card base and the circle with the sentiment because it coordinates nicely with the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Though I do find this card stock a little bit thinner, to reinforce it a bit, I did a mount of Purple Posy card stock inside the card. This also adds interest to the inside of the card.

I stamped the same floral image on the inside the card and on the envelope in Purple Posy to tie things all together.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I hope today’s project has inspired you to get creative and try something new.
Until next time,
Tatiana
