Today I’ve stepped up how I used the Bird Ballad DSP by turning it into a focal point of the card. I mounted it before adhering to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tips for creating this card:
- Background stamps can be difficult to stamp well, use the Stamparatus when using the Birch stamp – this way if you don’t get the best impression you and stamp again easily. (Though I have to say I’ve had no trouble with this stamp it works beautifully first press).
- Fussy cut the bird by moving the paper more (rather than the scissors).
- By using Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the mounted DSP it raises it and creates more interest in your card.
- You can create more visual interest in your card by having elements (such as the bird and the Stitched Label) hanging over the edge of the mounted DSP.
- Using neutral colours on most of the card makes the DSP pop out more.
How stunning is that Stitched Label Die in Sahara Sand card stock and having the sentiment heat embossed in gold! I’ve never used this combination before and I’m LOVING it.
I decorated the envelope flap with the same birch stamp.
Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope that I’ve inspired you to be creative.
Bye for now!
