3rd Thursdays Blog Hop – October 2019

Hello Everybody! Welcome to my blog!
I’m blog hopping with the 3rd Thursdays Blog Hop gang again today. Have to laugh though, it’s no longer Thursday here in Australia, it’s Friday morning! No matter what day it is, I’m so happy to be here with you today. This month our theme is Halloween/Harvest. I’ve chosen to focus on harvest and the GORGEOUS Come To Gather DSP from Stampin’ Up!®

As a pre-teen and teenager I LOVED origami. I had a number of lovely books on various origami projects. One of my favourite thing was to make little boxes to store and organise things. Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Paper is so pretty and makes sturdy boxes, particularly when folded. This box is really simple to make, but easier to show you how to make it than to write it out. I’ve made this short video showing you how I made it:

One thing I love about origami is that you don’t need any glue to hold it all together. To me that’s something special.

I finished off the project with two Medium Daisy punch outs in Cajun Craze and added some Leaf punch outs in Pretty Peacock with some Sprig punch outs in Gold Glimmer Paper. The daisy was finished off by added a Gold Faceted Gem in the middle.
