Global Creative INKspirations – 2020 August Mini Catalogue II

Hello everybody!
Welcome to another Global Creative INKspiration blog hop! In a regular year I feel kind of funny sharing Christmas themed projects. August seems way too early for Christmas. Christmas comes at the end of the school year for us here in Australia and my kids are still in the middle of term 3. This year I’m more than happy for Christmas to come along. This covid thing is very …. lets just say unique in living memory. I keep telling myself we are living through something historic! I’ve been distracted from the current historic events with the very pretty August – December Mini Catalogue. This catalogue is the the theme of our blog hop for today. Thought the catalogue isn’t exclusively Christmas, the poinsettias scream Christmas to me and that’s what I am using to INKspire you with today:

I’ve become a tad intrigued with the 3D Box Card and so created this one using the Poinsettias. There’s so many fun new products to try out that I was able to combine a few in this project.

Card Details:

  • Card Base: Garden Green and Poinsettia Place DSP
  • Flowers: Red Velvet Paper using Poinsettia Dies
  • Leaves & Sprigs: Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper die cut using Poinsettia Dies
  • Sentiment Label: Whisper White using Tasteful Labels Dies.

The Red Velvet Paper is so pretty and so tactile. I loved die cutting the Poinsettias with the embossing for the details in the specialty paper. The embossing details is just enough so that the velvet paper does the talking. It’s also very neat that some of the elements of the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper coordinates with the Poinsettia Dies. It made making this card a breeze.

I coordinated the envelope by adding the same DSP to the envelope flap. It’s so fantastic that this pop up box card folds down flat and fits in an envelope!

Next up on our sweet blog hop we have Danielle from the Netherlands. I’m looking forward to what INKspiration she shares with us.
