Celebrations like birthday are always a wonderful time. For me these times are even more fun because I get to use my creativity to help celebrate. It was my lovely Stampin’ Up! upline Michelle’s birthday last month and this is the card I created for her:
The Sale-A-Bration items Celebrate You Thinlits and Amazing You Stamp Set (which happen to coordinate) are perfect for any kind of celebration. To create this card I did the following:
- Cut the Shimmery White Card Stock to 10cm wide x 14.3cm tall. Then draw a very light pencil line 4.7 cm down from the top.
- Place the Celebrate die from the Celebrate You Thinlits along the line so that the bottom of the word crosses the line. Use washi tape to hold in place.
- Place the prepared die and card stock onto the Big Shot cutting pad so that the light pencil line is on the edge of the cutting pad and most of the die on the pate. Run through the Big Shot.
- Using a craft knife and a cutting matt carefully cut along your pencil line where the die should not be attached to the rest of the card stock. For example I cut inside the letters b and a and between each letter to release the die cut negatives.
- Stamp the YOU from Amazing You Stamp Set in Fresh Fig.
- Adhere to a piece of DSP from the Tutti-Frutti series that has been cut 10cm wide x 14.3cm tall.
- Adhere to card base (Fresh Fig card stock).
