Ink Smoosh Thank You Card

I’m really getting into the water colour type cards this week. Today’s uses a technique which is sometimes called Ink Smooshing. It’s basically where you smoosh the ink onto the paper. It’s really fun to do. Today’s card was inspired by Pam from Instagram account ptorkelson.

To do the ink smooshing technique, you press your ink pad on to the Silicone Craft Sheet, then spritz with water and then roll your Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper into it. I used two colours, Costal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. I let the Costal Cabana layer dry before adding the Bermuda Bay. You can also use an Aqua Painter to spread the ink around to where you would like it.

I then cut the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to size and heat embosses the flowers on top. I then added a shadow effect to the florals using Smokey Slate.

A strip of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper inside the card adds some interest and ties the card to the front and the inside of the card to each other.
