Happy Labour Day for those in NSW (and any other state in Australia). It’s been a lovely day to relax with my family. I’m sure you all may have realised by now that I love snowflakes. Today’s card is a flurry of them! Make me think of the first time I saw snowflakes falling. I was a young adult and extremely excited!
All supplies used in this card are shown at the end of this post in the thumbnails. These are linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store.
To create this card:
- Prepare card base in Balmy Blue
- Prepare card front using Shimmery White cardstock 90mm x 133.5mm
- Take the Blamy Blue ink pad and press onto the Silicone Craft Sheet and then spritz with water using the Stampin’ Spritzer. Gently roll the Shimmery White card front in the ink. You can do this in layers, let one layer dry and then repeat. Allow to dry.
- Using the Big Shot cut the large label from the Stitched Labels Framelits and then use a Sponge Dauber to colour the edges in Balmy Blue. Stamp the “Merry Christmas From Our Family To Yours” sentiment from the Snowflake Sentiment stamp set.
- Once card front is dry stamp the snowflakes from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set, you can stamp off on the card front to create depth.
- To assemble:
- Adhere the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Stick some Tear & Tap adhesive to where the stitched label will go and add the Silver Metallic Thread to it.
- Adhere the sentiment label using Stampin’ Dimentionals.
- Dot some Multipurpose Liquid Glue where you would like to add sequin. Allow to set a little before using the Take Your Pick Tool to attache the blue sequin.
I love the flurry appearance of the card. Despite snow being cold, I get a warm and fuzzy feeling from this card because of my fond snow memories.
I also created a matching envelope to go with this card. I really makes it more special when you send it.
