There’s only 19 weekends till Christmas – and no, I’m not counting but my kids sure are! Its never too early I guess to start planning gifts as I find the last few months of the year just fly by! I like to give pretty gifts and with this in mind and my recent snow vacation I thought that this would make a loving gift for someone during the upcoming Christmas holidays:
All supplies used in this gift are shown at the end of this post in the thumbnails. These linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store.
To create this gift:
- Cut some snowflakes from Balmy Blue cardstock and take the largest ones that are the same and glue them together to create one large thicker snowflake (TIP: use a sponge and liquid multi purpose glue to adhere them together).
- Take the Silver Mini Gable Box and lightly dust with the Embossing Buddy.
- Stamp in Versamark the “Thinking Of You With Love” sentiment from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set onto the box front to the right and Heat Emboss in White Stampin’ Embossing Powder.
- Stamp the snowflakes from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and then heat emboss them using a mixture of the Blueberry Bushel and Silver Stampin’ Embossing Powder.
- Tie some Whisper White Polka Dot Tule Ribbon around the box.
- Tie some Silver Baker’s Twine around one of the arms of the Snowflake pie and then tie to the box.
I love the look of the Silver Embossing Powder combined with the Blueberry Bushel Embossing powder. It gives the snowflakes more of a snow-flaky appearance!
