Go For Greece Blog Hop – April 2018

Go For Greece Training Group Blog Hop

Welcome to the Go For Greece Blog Hop. You are visiting Tatiana in Australia. We are a group of demonstrators from all around the world that are taking part in training organised by fellow demonstrator Kylie Bertucci. The aim of the group is to learn from top demonstrators who have had success with Stampin’ Up!®. Our goal is to achieve the incentive trip, this time to Greece in July 2019. The group is filled with so many wonderful demonstrators and I have loved being a part of this supporting community. It can be challenging when you want to turn Stampin’ Up!® into a business that supports your family and not knowing where to start and that you are going about things the right way can be confusing and overwhelming on your own. Part of our training is blog hopping!

One of the great things about being a demonstrator is that I get to get my hands on exciting new products before they are officially on sale. I was lucky that I got to take home from OnStage in April the brand new Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. I am in love with it. What is very neat about this paper is that it is Very Vanilla on one side and Whisper White on the other. Despite this awesome feature I decided I wanted to change it and so I covered the 12″ x 12″ sheet with Versamark by pressing my pad onto the paper (with some scratch paper underneath) and then covering it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat setting it. I loved how it turned out!

This card I made for my Godmother’s birthday. Her favourite colour is Red and she loves Gold. I really wanted to make this card special because for the first time in our married lives we are living in the same city and only 10 mins away from each other!

To create the background area behind the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, I used a sponge dauber dipped on Real Red stampin’ pad and rubbed on Shimmery White card stock in a circular motion. I then spritzed my hand with water and let some water drip down to create the texture. I’ve done this technique a few times this year and really love the effect.

I used the birthday sentiment from the Lots of Happy Card Kit, it fits so nicely into the cut out from the Pretty Label Punch. Finished the card off with some Mini Gold Sequin Trim just for some extra shine.
